Robotics & Coding

What You Can Expect

Our Robo Explorers & Code Bots sessions are designed to equip students with essential coding
skills, problem-solving techniques, and real-world applications in a fun and engaging
environment using hands-on robotics.

Robo Explorers

(Year 1 – Year 4): This program is perfect starting point for young learners keen to develop
coding logic, creativity and hands on building skills. The programs blends Scratch Coding
with foundational robotics using age -appropriate LEGO kits.

– Create interactive games, animations, and stories using Scratch coding

– Build and program robots using LEGO® SPIKE™ Essential

– Year 4 students are introduced to LEGO® SPIKE™ Prime, preparing them for more advanced robotics

Code Bots

(Year 5 – Year 10): This program is designed for upper primary and early high school students who are
ready to elevate their coding and engineering skills. This program dives deeper into Python programming
and hands-on robotics using intelligent systems.

Our Python Learning Journey

At Sypher Space, we’ve designed a fun and structured coding progression for students to grow with confidence—from beginners to advanced coders. Each student is continuously assessed and supported to progress at their own pace. Whether they’re just launching or ready to command their own coding mission—there’s a place for everyone at Sypher Space.

Level 1 – Space Cadet (2 Terms)

Students begin their journey with Scratch and Python basics. They learn coding logic, loops, and functions through fun projects using LEGO Spike Prime and PyGame.

Level 2 – Space Explorer (2 Terms)

Students develop strong Python foundations including data structures, string manipulation, file handling, and creative projects.

Level 3 – Space Captain (2 Terms)

Focuses on real-world Python applications like web scraping, file automation, and creating scripts for productivity.

Level 4 – Space Commander (Flexible)

The final stage where students build advanced modular projects, automate systems, and apply coding in real-life scenarios.

Why is it Beneficial?

  • Develops strong coding skills – Progress from Scratch to Python, building a strong
    foundation in programming.
  • Enhances computational thinking – Strengthens problem-solving, logical reasoning, and
    algorithmic concepts.
  • Encourages real-world application – Apply coding skills to robotics, AI, and STEM-based
    challenges.
  • Fosters creativity & teamwork – Hands-on projects encourage collaboration, critical
    thinking, and innovation.
  • Prepares students for the future – Coding and robotics are key skills in STEM careers
    and emerging technologies.
