LEGO ROBOTICS & CODING -STEM Mentors

(Primary Schools, Holiday Camps, Vacation Care)

Do you love to build new things? Love to create? Love to teach others how to create? Then this is the job for you!

SYPHER SPACE is actively looking to inspire kids in technology theme based classes and is looking for instructors to offer year round programs in robotics for kids aged 5-13 building along STEM curriculum using LEGO.

We are looking for tutors to work 2.5 hrs – 12 hours a week between 2:30 pm and 5:30 pm to teach classes and conduct class management. School Holiday camps when required.

Pay:  Above award rates plus super – will be paid for minimum 2.5 hours everyday.  You may also be eligible for certain commissions.

School holiday camps and vacation care sessions will be paid for the number of hours worked.

Job Description:

  • After school classes in different schools – Glenwood, Kellyville, Marsden Park, Quakers Hill, Rooty Hill, Schofields, Wahroonga.
  • Children build and code LEGO to build robots.
  • In class teaching every day and holiday/vacation care programs.
  • Manage and maintain equipment.
  • Relationship management.
  • Some content designing during the term

Requirements (Mandatory):

  • Working With Children Check (Employee) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Completed Year 12 or equivalent from Australia, New Zealand or similar. 
  • Year 12 students welcome to apply to gain experience. 
  • Willing to commute – travel may be paid as per the contract
  • Own car and valid driving license.
  • Extremely punctual and good communication skills.

Requirements (Desirable):

  • Must be willing to commit to working 2-5 afternoons a week.
  • Passion for mentoring and inspiring children.
  • Minimum commitment for 2 school terms.
